How to use

Henna is a gloriously messy, hippy process - and the idea is to get as much of it onto the hair as possible! Our essential bamboo henna application brush is ideal for getting extra precision. Our unique cocoa butter henna brick is designed to be enough for one head of mid-length hair and melts down with hot water into a rich paste, which you should apply generously. How to store

Your henna brick will arrive in a beautiful recycled paper packaging, with designs inspired by the organic, floral henna designs traditionally found in Middle Eastern and Asian skin art. Keep your henna brick in its wrap in a cool, dry place, ready for when you use it. Henna bricks are best used fresh and you can put any leftover melted henna in your compost. To continue our commitment to reduce single use plastic, your henna will no longer come with plastic gloves. Please protect your hands with your trusty reusable rubber gloves.

Not for all hair types!

I'm usually a fan of lush products but I am very disappointed in this one. Firstly the sales assistants were not well versed on the product so they allowed me to read through the colour book; afterwards I was hopeful that this product would work for my hair (4c + locs) as promised. I noted no difference. It take a lot more effort to apply and remove this product with my type of hair. I'm feeling like it was a total waste of time, energy and money

Amazing product which has saved my hair.

Thank you so much Lush for bringing back this wonderful formula. Having lost a majority of my hair due to long covid, I thought my hair would never come back. Although it started to grow it was so fine and breakable and I couldnt use any products or colour on my white and grey new hair growth plus I didnt want the damaging chemicals of box dyes anywhere near me. Having used henna many years ago I thought i would give it another try and omg my hair is transformed. I used the rouge first and then a combination of brun and noir and I have a beautiful deep rich brown colour but best of all my hair is glossy and feels thicker already. Washing my hair is the biggest bonus as I dont lose tons of it with each wash, instead just a few strands. Okay it is messy but nothing a towel on the floor and a tint brush cant solve. I will never go back to traditional chemical dyes ever again. Thank you Lush so much 😊

New formula is amazing

Solid henna user for years. This new formula is amazing. The paste it becomes is the easiest to work with and apply in my opinion. The colour coverage is exactly what i hoped for and as an added bonus this formula gave my hair a beautiful soft silky feeling after

waiting for shipment to Chile

In Chile we are waiting for the new formula (I'm with white gray hair) I tried other formats from other brands, powder, and I'll stick with Lush's, the old formula, the intermediate formula that arrived in Chile, but the new one hasn't arrived yet formula. Please remember Latin America because my gray hair needs it

Delighted with results

Bought the brun henna hoping that they've solved the problems with the last formula. I wasn't disappointed. This one is even better than the original one. It seems to spread more easily and isn't as gritty. This may be due to the increase in cocoa butter. Colour is lovely and covered up my greys. So happy that they fixed the issue.
